AlertThingy

Taken the vast amount of social nets and similar services that are used nowadays, it is practicaly essential to use some type of software that allows you to access all of them at the same time, like AlertThingy. AlertThingy in an application that uses Adobe Air to allow us control out Facebook, Twitter and Flickr accounts, plus other business orientated ones like Yammer, Basecamp and Huddle.

  But as well as these comunication tools and social nets, it is possible to control other services like Digg (news grabber), Ping.Fm, TinyURL (that shrinks URL addresses), Tumblr (express blog publishing) or even Amazon. It is also possible to add RSS suscriptions.

  The programs interface is very simple, and once we settup all the accounts we want to manage with AlertThingy, the program will show us a dynamic timeline with all the updates each one has. We will be able to view the  Facebook status changes, the latest Twitter news, or the new uploaded pictures from Flickr directly from our desktop, with this application.
